KW RACING SUSPENSIONS

We offer KW racing suspensions individually optimized to your requirements. We pay attention to an individual design of the suspension to adapt it exactly to your requirements. We calculate spring rates and damping forces, the suspension also based on the spring travel optimally on your vehicle.

After the professional installation, our service really begins. We check the new suspension, adapt it optimally to your vehicle and also help you with the tuning. We are THE professional for KW racing suspensions.

Especially individually manufactured suspensions require an optimal adjustment to your suspension - this is where our strengths lie.

Whether customer motorsport, private teams or factory teams - all over the world, our customers in professional motorsport and mass sports rely on the successful KW Competition technology. Our wide-ranging KW Competition racing program offers the right racing solution for every type of motorsport and every set of regulations. KW Competition applications are available in various versions with 5-way, 4-way, 3-way and 2-way performance-adjustable racing damper technologies or with fixed pre-configured damper setups. We manufacture our vehicle-specific racing suspensions as homologated series developments for numerous GT3, GT4, TCR and Cup cars or as individual applications for your successful racing.

KW V4 Racing

3-way adjustable racing damper technology with reservoir.

KW V4 Racing stands for singletube dampers with external reservoir, coil spring valve technology and 3-way damping force adjustment (optional 2-way). The basic pressure stage has an individually pre-configurable midspeed valve, in addition to the high- and lowspeed pressure setting, this can be used to vary the transition point from a progressive to a degressive characteristic curve. The adjustable rebound damping can be optimally configured for the application via an extensive number of needle valves and coil springs with a linear, progressive or degressive characteristic. The STRS3A technology impresses with maximum reliability and low maintenance requirements.

Application examples:
Porsche 991 GT3 R, BMW Z4 GT3, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003 C self-built race cars for circuit, hill, slalom and rally.

Details at a glance:

  • SingleTube damper
  • Separate compression and rebound valves
  • 2/3-way adjustable
  • Damper or height-adjustable racing shocks
  • Damper force adjustment: 18 or 22 clicks rebound; 18 clicks compression at low speed; 18 clicks compression at high speed
  • Preconfigurable compression midspeed valve
  • Individual characteristic curve design for linear, progressive or degressive characteristics
  • Piston rod diameter: 18mm and 22mm
  • Piston diameters: 35mm, 36mm, 40mm and 43mm
  • McPherson struts in upsidedown design
  • Linear bearing design with 40mm upsidedown cartridge

KW V5 Racing

4-way adjustable racing dampers and racing suspensions.

The KW V5 Racing TwinTube damper has a precise 4-way damper adjustment with 18 clicks each for low and high-speed forces of the compression damping as well as the rebound damping. Its operating principle with solid-piston displacement piston enables direct response at the lowest strokes. The new KW valve technology with disc springs allows individual characteristic curve design and covers a wide force range from 1000N to 8000N. Depending on requirements, the modular damper can also be extended with additional adjustable blow-off characteristics. The valve arrangement ensures cavitation-free operation at low gas pressure. Because the damper can be used in any mounting position, it is suitable for all types of non-wheel-guiding axle designs such as double wishbone or pushrod suspensions. The external reservoir is connected to the damper either directly as a piggyback or via a hose connection.

Application:
For applications with pushrod, double or multi-link axles.
Formula, LMP, prototypes, GT3, 4-way adjustable KW TwinTube technology.

Details at a glance:

  • TwinTube damper
  • 4-way adjustable
  • Damper or height-adjustable racing struts
  • Valve arrangement for cavitation free operation
  • Solid piston displacement 35mm
  • Piston rod 15mm
  • Separate low and high speed rebound and compression valves with disc springs
  • Individual characteristic curve design, force range 1000N to 8000 N
  • Damper force adjustment: rebound low and high speed 18 clicks each; compression low and high speed 18 clicks each
  • Rotatable pressure compensation reservoir as piggyback (45° positions) or with hose connection
  • Low gas pressure, gas volume adapted to damper stroke
  • Housing made of high-strength aluminum
  • Optionally with adjustable blow-off

KW V6 Racing

5-way adjustable racing dampers and racing suspensions.

The new KW V6 Racing TwinTube damper features precise 5-way damper adjustment with 18 clicks each for low and high-speed forces of compression damping as well as rebound damping - and 12 clicks of blowoff adjustment.
Its operating principle with solid-piston displacement piston enables direct response at the lowest strokes. The new KW valve technology with disc springs allows individual characteristic curve design and covers a wide force range from1000N to 12000N.
The valve arrangement ensures cavitation-free operation at low gas pressure. Because it can be used in any mounting position, the damper is suitable for all types of non-wheel-guiding axle designs such as double wishbone or pushrod suspensions. The gas reservoir is basically internal, but an external reservoir can be connected to the damper either directly as a piggyback or via a hose connection. Due to regulations, the number of adjusters can be reduced to 2.

Application Examples:
For applications with pushrod, double or multi-link axles.
Formula, LMP, prototypes, GT3, 5-way adjustable KW TwinTube technology.
