The still young year has already brought some successes, but also disappointments for our customers:
24 Hours Race in Dubai (UAE)
The traditional start of the season was again this year the 24 hours race in Dubai (UAE).
After 3 overall victories in the last years, we were extremely successful again this year. A total of 3 vehicles with our service and technology were able to place among the top 10 overall.
24 Hours Race in Daytona (Florida)
The next big race was the 24 hours race in Daytona (Florida). The only car with our settings was the AMG Mercedes GT3 of HTP Winward Racing. After an impressive qualifying result with pole position in the GTD class, the serious accident of Lukas Auer in the free practice was unfortunately a low blow - we wish him a speedy recovery!
With the replacement car, starting from the last position on the grid, we were able to set the fastest GT3 times and were permanently on the lead lap. A class win or at least a podium would have been possible. Unfortunately, an accident shortly before the end of the race put an end to the race to catch up. At least we know that with our support the car was always competitive and among the fastest GT3 cars in the field.
12 hours race in Brathurst (Australia)
The prestigious 12-hour race in Brathurst (Australia) was also on the calendar. Here, too, an AMG Mercedes GT3 with our technology was at the start (GruppeM). Here, too, we were able to achieve pole position and were always the fastest car in the race. Here, too, a collision with a subsequent drive-through penalty put an end to the forward momentum. In the end, third place was achieved.
